With 18 years immersed in volleyball and 8 years of coaching experience between private & semi-private lessons, recreational and Club volleyball, I look forward to helping all levels reach their potential and personal goals! I offer private volleyball lessons for beginner to intermediate athletes who want to build strong fundamentals, improve confidence, and elevate their overall game. While I specialize in setting and libero training, I coach all positions and tailor each session to the athlete’s individual needs and goals. My training approach combines technical skill development, game awareness, and agility, strength, and conditioning to help players become well-rounded and game-ready. I use a wide range of professional training equipment—including targets, passing trainers, setter and hitter tools, and portable pop-up nets—to create engaging, effective sessions whether we’re in a gym or training on the go. I offer one-on-one and small group lessons, allowing for focused instruction and personalized feedback. My goal is to help athletes grow not just as volleyball players, but as confident competitors who understand the game and enjoy the process of improving.

Hello. My name is Michelle. I am a USAV and SafeSport-certified volleyball coach and former NCAA D1 middle blocker. I currently coach at AZ Hype and work with athletes of all skill levels. I have experience in back-row defense, serving, and setting. I specialize in blocking, attacking, serving, and passing skills. My goal is to help players build confidence, strong fundamentals, and volleyball IQ, all in a supportive, positive environment.

With 25 years devoted to volleyball, I've cultivated a coaching style that blends technical precision with a positive, supportive environment. My experience helps players unlock their potential and foster a lifelong love for the game. I started all 4 years in college, and then went on to coach at the collegiate, high school and elementary levels thereafter.
