His journey continued in Indiana, where he played NAIA college tennis, competing internationally and advancing to the No. 1 doubles line and No. 4 singles by his freshman year’s end. His coaching career began at the John Newcombe Tennis Ranch in Texas, where he led over 175 lessons each season. I am from Poteet, Texas and was a 4 time district champion and 4 time regional qualifier in men’s singles at the high school level. I played in the USTA (United States Tennis Association) for about four years after high school and have a NTRP (National Tennis Rating Program) level of 4.0 in singles.
