I have experience coaching basketball and bring 50 years of pickup basketball experience along with racquet sports. I teach that pickleball at the recreational level is about forcing your opponents to make mistakes, not making spectacular shots. I teach patience and accuracy as keys to the game and am excellent at teaching players of all ages and genders. I also emphasize the geometry of the game—crosscourt shots are the best, how to get the best angles, where to position yourself while serving, etc. It’s a game of placement and strategy with room to play mental games with your opponents.
