Jonah Brooks is a Chicago-based guitarist, producer, and multi-instrumentalist. He studied jazz guitar with Henry Johnson of the Ramsey Lewis Group and was a finalist in the Wilson Center International Guitar Competition in 2017. After finishing school, he worked as a full-time professional guitarist in Chicago while honing his skills in music production. In 2021, he founded Top Shelf Music Library and has since released multiple sample packs in partnership with the Sample Lab group. With almost 3 million streams to his name as a solo artist gained in 2023, Jonah actively pursues opportunities in music production, performance, and collaboration.

My guitar journey began uniquely at the age of 19 while taking Piano Lessons. I then became the lead singer of a band named Tension at the age of 24, who performed at such venues as Mutiny, The Underground Lounge, and the Elbo Room, as well as for parties and a wedding. I still play to this day with the guitarist James and his brother Seth I have also written and performed my own Spoken-Word rap and poetry since I was a teenager to this moment . From Classical to Rock, Pop, Opera, R&B, Rap/ Hip Hop, and everything in-between..I am well-versed and have written and performed many songs in each of those genres.
