"When I started taking group guitar lessons with Daniel Estay in Northridge. I was a shy person who wanted to play guitar but I didn’t actually think I would become good at it. What I learned from my experience with Daniel’s lessons is you never know what you will be good at until you give it your best. That was a valuable life lesson I will always remember. Daniel encouraged me to practice and made me feel like I could really get good at guitar. His techniques really made it easy to understand and learn what I needed to do to get better. I went from not knowing how to hold the guitar to being able to sight read sheet music and tabs, and play and perform a whole song within a month. After completing level 1 I felt a confidence I had never felt before and I was really excited to try the level two class. In his level 2 class, Daniel asked us what songs we wanted to learn and he was actually able to teach us how to play songs like Taylor Swift’s “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together”, Ed Sheeren’s “Perfect”, Bon Jovi's “Wanted Dead or Alive”, Jason Mraz’s “Lucky”, and Bruno Mars’ “When I was your man”. I couldn’t believe we were actually playing our favorite pop songs in only a few weeks.
