About Eric

I work full time in Manhattan as a Market Research Analyst and I do TMT part-time so my availability may be somewhat limited. However, the time with you will always be passionate. Now, what I want to say first are…. Golf is all about “muscle memory.” My first 10 years of golfing were based on my own swing, and I could not improve enough during that time. Then I met an instructor who tried to fix my “form” for next six months. Do you think I was fixed? Yes and no, because it actually took me almost two years after those lessons to truly adjust. Why 2 years? Because my muscles were stuck to the 10-years-old form and resisted not to get adjusted! Why do I share my experience? Because a beginner should start golfing with an instructor. Whoever is certified can teach you how to perform a proper golf swing. The only thing you need to do afterward is repetition on your own at the range. The more you practice, the faster your muscles memorize the movement. Golf is all about “muscle memory.” And muscles must be memorized in right way! Since I got my swing fixed—not perfectly, but very close to a standard form—I have been giving lessons to friends and their friends. I was finally certified by USGTF last September. My rate is low not because I am new but I remember when I was looking for an instructor. I have already met a good number of students and I teach not only how to swing, but also how to practice on your own. Golf is “practicing,” and that is everything. Without practicing between lessons, you will need to invest much more time and money, because you are not using enough of your own time to improve. People say a tour pro hits 10,000 balls to adjust a single point in their swing. Then how many balls do you think you need to hit? Of course, you are not a tour pro, but you still need to hit as many balls as possible for your muscles to memorize the movement. With my 25 years of experience and structured drills you can practice by yourself after each lesson, I can help you improve step by step. Please do not hesitate to ask me any questions.

What students say...

"Explained everything very thoroughly. Very experienced himself. Made it to understand and pick up on.

Frequently asked questions

What to expect when you take a Golf lesson in Closter

The first lesson for a beginner player

A

Coach Aron

golf coach

We can take a look at your swing so I can identify any faults. I'd take questions and try to answer them accordingly. Then assest your swing strokes. For advanced players, I look at the swing mechanics to see if I need to address anything there. If not, we may spend more time on center face contact and spinning the ball onto greens from 50 yds and closer.

Like to see their level of skill and start to hone in on what they have issues with on the course typically it’s chipping putting or hitting the fairway more consistently.
