Shane played golf throughout his entire high school years and was the first student at Anchor Bay HS to ever qualify for the State Golf Tournament. He won Silver and Bronze medals in the US Junior Olympics during 2003-2005. He was acknowledged in the "Who's Who Among American High School Students Sports Edition." In 2007, he graduated from the SDGA Golf Academy with a Business Degree in Golf Management. Shane was part of the "Top 5" to hold the lowest handicap and won two prestigious tournaments including PGA Matchplay and PGA Stroke Play Championships.
