"The lesson was quite helpful, especially as John was straightforward and engaged throughout, which I appreciated. Still, I think there's room to explore more drills next time to really refine my putting.

I was a Head Golf Professional for 18 years in northern Illinois. I moved to Los Angeles in 2018 so I could focus on teaching full time and year round. I teach all experience levels, both men and women. My passion is growing this great game with my expertise and seeing my students shot lower scores and having fun playing.
"Still early in my golf game. John knows his stuff, keeps it simple, and gives you one or two things to work on instead of overloading you. Seeing real progress already. Good guy too, easy to talk to, and makes the lessons worth every penny. If you're newer to golf, go see John.

Hi I’m Ronald! I am an incoming college freshman who is trying to help golfers who are not yet confident with their game. I just came off of 4 years of Varsity high school golf experience and 3 years straight of division 1 high school competition experience. My handicap is a 1.4 overall on USGA. However, this past season of high school golf I had a handicap of +1.085 on CIF-SS through ~30 matches. I was also within the top 150 out of 3,670 listed CIF-SS high school golfers. I have experience coaching peers new to the game and assisting fellow teammates who already understand the game. I provide valuable feedback and knowledge of your swing, short game, and putting. Not only that, but we will dissect course management and mental skills in order to shave off some strokes. Let’s get to work!

"I was only fortunate enough to know and work with David Byrne for a little over a month before he relocated to California, but that short time made a lasting impact on my game. I truly enjoyed his passion for golf and his genuine desire to help players get better. David often went out of his way to coach me between lessons whenever he wasn’t already busy teaching others—something I greatly appreciated. At 67 years old, I’m not looking to completely rebuild my golf swing, and David understood that from day one. His approach focuses on helping you find a swing thought that works for your swing, rather than forcing a onesizefitsall method. He helped me understand my swing plane and path, and how to consistently get into the right position before impact. After that, his favorite encouragement was always: ‘Turn the corner!’ And it worked. David is a talented instructor, an insightful coach, and an allaround good person. And watch out for his son—just a wee lad with a fabulous golf swing already! David’s passion clearly runs in the family.
