As a former college and professional basketball player, I’ve experienced firsthand how the game can shape a person’s discipline, confidence, and love for competition. What I enjoy most about teaching young kids is giving them the chance to discover those same lessons early in their journey. Basketball taught me how to work hard, play as part of a team, and push through challenges—values I want to pass on to the next generation. Seeing a child light up when they finally master a new skill or gain confidence on the court is more rewarding than any win I’ve had as a player. For me, teaching kids isn’t just about basketball fundamentals, it’s about helping them grow as people while building a lifelong love for the game.
