I’ve been immersed in the world of pickleball since 2021, developing my game to a 5.0+ level and coaching players across different skill levels and backgrounds. As a certified pickleball coach, I have worked with various organizations and clubs, helping new and experienced players sharpen their skills, develop strategic thinking, and enjoy the game’s fast-growing culture. By profession, I am an environmental scientist and international development expert with over 15 years of global experience in sustainability, climate resilience, and resource management. I’ve been a Floridian my entire life until I made the move up to Virginia last Spring with my wife and 3 dogs. I’ve been a certified athletic trainer, high school teacher and tennis coach for the past 20 years. I became a USPTA teaching professional about 10 years ago and have taught kids as young as 5 to adults as old as 65. I’ve coached the Gainesville High School girls tennis team the past 2 years. I believe tennis is truly a sport of a lifetime that can be enjoyed by all ages and abilities.

Hi there My name is Sean Miles and I'm currently attending college at GMU. I have played tennis since I was 6 years old. I competed on my High School Varsity team all four years. Currently I am playing in 7.0 UTR Mixed Doubles tournament with a friend. I work with all ages from beginners to intermediates. Each class will be focusing on one specific skill eg. step into backhands. Then of course I love to play a fun game or even a match to test the new skill you just learn!!
