Having studied and worked with the human body for over 25 years, and coached swimming for more than 15, I am adept at taking students past their habitual movement patterns and psychic blocks toward swimming mastery. I am a technique expert. Using unique drills and props, I rewire movement in the water for ease, efficiency, speed (and joy!). In 1-on-1 sessions, I teach basic and beginning swimmers, as well D1 athletes, triathletes, and extreme competitors at the every level.

I’m a PPR Certified Pickleball Coach with experience teaching players of different ages and skill levels. I’ve also served as a Pickleball Director, where I developed and led clinics, leagues, ladders, tournaments, DUPR events, mixers, and other pickleball programming. My coaching philosophy is simple: understand the “why,” not just the “how.” We’ll work on technique, but I’ll also help you understand positioning, shot selection, court awareness, and strategy so your new skills actually translate into better play. New to pickleball? We’ll build a strong foundation without making the game complicated. Already playing? We’ll identify the areas holding you back and build a lesson around what will make the biggest difference in your game. Lessons can cover serving, returning, dinking, volleys, resets, third-shot drops, transition-zone play, doubles positioning, strategy, and match play. Most importantly, lessons should be productive and fun. My goal is for you to leave every session knowing something you didn’t know before—and excited to get back on the court.

My name is Helen Hearst. I am a reading specialist focusing on explicit phonics instruction and comprehension. I am most familiar with 1st- to 3rd-grade students. I also have a strong background in 1st- and 2nd-grade math. I will work with students on homework, oral reading, comprehension, and math foundational skills with games. There will be plenty of brain breaks and ways for students to take a break so that we are not working for 30 or 60 minutes straight.
