My name is Roberto. I was born and raised in San José, Costa Rica, and I came to the United States nine years ago to play college tennis. I graduated from Azusa Pacific University (nation's top 10 NCAA Division II school) with a B.A. in Business Management and served as the team's captain on my last semester. I have also coached beginner and intermediate tennis players of all ages in Costa Rica as well as several collegiate dual matches. Regarding my playing history, I have played tournaments in over 10 countries, obtained a junior international ranking, and reached a ranking of #8 in Costa Rica. As of this year, I started coaching pickleball and the experience has been no different! Concepts are very similar and time to raise level is actually shorter!
"I appreciated Roberto’s patience and support. I felt encouraged through my lesson and gained some confidence by the end.

I picked up my first tennis racket at 13 and haven't looked back since. Nowadays, you'll find me competing in local USTA and flex leagues around Houston. I've learned a lot over the years and can't wait to share my tips and tricks with you. Let's hit the courts together!
"Perfect

I began playing in middle school and continued through high school, where I also started coaching others. During my senior year, I paused playing to focus on my studies and secure admission to my desired university. After a five-year hiatus, I resumed playing last year, with my primary focus now on coaching.
"Very nice and sympathetic!

I began my golfing journey in the UK, where the courses present a unique challenge. The key there is to master controlling the flight of the ball, a skill I honed early in my career. My prowess in the short game is something I'm particularly proud of; my pitching and chipping skills are exceptional. Over the years, I've had the privilege of playing alongside numerous professionals, gaining invaluable insights and experience. I'm known for my patience and keen eye for spotting issues in a golfer's technique. I'm always ready to offer advice, as I quickly identify and help address the problems golfers face.
"Helped my correct my slice on my irons.

"Chase O’Neal is my son, I’m using My Son because he’s an example of how I would have liked to been taught. I started teaching him at the age of three. Chase is now seven years old he has played multiple USAAA baseball games and tournaments. He has received multiple MVP awards he’s been named Texas Allstate and he’s also playing two ages up.

My goal is to challenge the youth through the sport that has immensely impacted my life. I aspire to inspire and enlighten youth about the true essence of playing soccer. With a background in "total football," I believe every player is equally essential. I prioritize communication, movement, pace, and awareness in my players. My coaching style begins with open dialogue and complete respect for the game. I emphasize having fun, academic success, and integrity (sportsmanship) as fundamental principles. These values are integral to any program philosophy. I am confident that if we meet, you will see, hear, and feel my passion, love, and enthusiasm for the game. I am eager to contribute to your athletic program and join your coaching staff. This opportunity would enable me to teach, guide, and develop your students, players, and the program as a whole. I aim to motivate athletes in your program through excitement and a proactive philosophy. I hope this resume reaches the appropriate person so that I may be considered as a candidate for a position within a program that allows me to both achieve and give back to the sport I cherish: soccer.

With 15 years of softball instruction, I foster growth in athletes of all levels. I played collegiate softball at the University of South Carolina Beaufort where I competed in a highly competitive Division 2 conference. Throughout my two years at USCB I pitched over 100 innings with 74 strikeouts. Prior to my time at USCB, I started my collegiate career at Mclennan Community College where we were able to compete at the NJCAA College World Series, earning national runner up. I played at Tyler Junior college my sophomore year where we competed in a highly competitive conference where I pitched in over 60 innings with 40 strikeouts. I was gratefully given the opportunity to play for a small national team in Puerto Rico where I pitched the organizations first win. Growing up I played for the Hotshots Organization where I was able to be coached under some of the best and able to compete at a high level. Playing at the collegiate level taught me discipline, perseverance, and the importance of balancing academics with athletics. Off the field, I was voted by my conference to be the Student Athlete Advisory Committee President. I was awarded Presidential honor roll, Deans list, Chancellors list, and graduated Communication honor roll. Now that my playing career has come to a close, I’m excited to share my knowledge and experience with others. I want to give back to the game by helping younger athletes build their skills, develop confidence, and understand the value of hard work and teamwork. Whether it’s pitching mechanics, game strategy, or simply encouraging players to believe in themselves, I am passionate about mentoring the next generation of softball players and helping them reach their full potential.
