My background is defined by the discipline of professional athletics and a heart for youth development. After competing professionally for teams like Correcaminos and CD Leganes in Mexico and Spain, I turned my focus to mentoring. I have loved serving as a missionary at Ligoneer Camp guiding groups of up to 200 children and coaching soccer at Beulah Sports Camp where I taught teamwork to groups of 50. On a personal note helping raise my nephew has given I a deep appreciation for early childhood growth instilling in I the patience and energy I bring to every opportunity.

Ian Harris is a highly accomplished soccer player with experience at the NCAA DII level and representing the Bahamas Men’s National Football team. His deep passion for the sport is matched only by his extensive knowledge of the game. With a background in competitive soccer, Ian brings a wealth of expertise to his coaching, focusing on skill development, tactical understanding, and a love for the game that he instills in all his students.

I have had the honor of being signed to Relapse Records and Wiilowtip records as well as many other labels in the extreme metal community. I specialized in heavy music for a long time but I am fluent in all genres of music as well,including folk,jazz, classical,rock, blues,funk,punk rock,new wave,pop,ska,hardcore,swing,avant garde,progressive,technical, contemporary,ambient,hip hop and experimental. I enjoy teaching everything from scales,chords, rhythm,melody,phrasing, transition,picking,finger placement,fretboard memory,fast runs,chord groups,major,minor, pentatonic,mixolydian,aeolian,diminished,phrygian,locrian,Dorian,and many more. I also like to focus on figuring out composition by ear,for example learning your favorite artists songs and development of your own styles while drawing from your influence or whatever you are wanting to play. I've been a professional touring bassist and educator for 20 years. I'm a doubler both electric and upright. I have a B.M. in Music education from VCU in Richmond, VA. (Don't make a joke about your degree being a "BM") If you're still here, I'm also a guitarist and have taught strings and brass. I've taught privately and classroom settings both in-person and remotely. I bring my experiences as a performing artist and educator to guide students of all ages and levels.
