At 59 years old, I have a lifelong passion for racquet sports that began when I picked up tennis at the age of nine. I dedicated over 25 years to competitive tennis, honing my skills and technique. Transitioning into Beach Tennis at 40, I spent another five years competing at a high level. Seven years ago, I discovered Pickleball and instantly fell in love with the game. As a 4.5 level player, I am enthusiastic about sharing my expertise and skills with others who are eager to start or improve their game.

My name is Roberto. I was born and raised in San José, Costa Rica, and I came to the United States nine years ago to play college tennis. I graduated from Azusa Pacific University (nation's top 10 NCAA Division II school) with a B.A. in Business Management and served as the team's captain on my last semester. I have also coached beginner and intermediate tennis players of all ages in Costa Rica as well as several collegiate dual matches. Regarding my playing history, I have played tournaments in over 10 countries, obtained a junior international ranking, and reached a ranking of #8 in Costa Rica. As of this year, I started coaching pickleball and the experience has been no different! Concepts are very similar and time to raise level is actually shorter!
