"I’m just an old guy who wanted to play some fun songs by the campfire. I knew Kevin had been playing for years and done some pretty cool stuff with it. So I hit him up and wasn’t disappointed. I play old classic rock and country stuff, and Kevin guided me to allow me to just look up the chords and actually understand what I’m looking at. Now I play every weekend at camp and I feel like a rockstar. Thanks Kevin!!

I hold a degree from Berklee College of Music and I’ve spent the last two decades developing students both privately and through instructional environments. My teaching style is rooted in practical application—helping drummers develop time, feel, consistency, and versatility across genres including country, rock, funk, blues, R&B, pop, and fusion. I also emphasize preparation for professional scenarios such as click-track performance, touring expectations, and studio efficiency.

"“I studied guitar and music production with Josh for about 3 years during high school. He was great at highlighting my interests in our lessons, always keeping my goals first. During Covid restrictions, he quickly altered our zoom lessons to focusing on creating my own music which I found to be super inspiring and fun. I was able to accomplish a lot with Josh and he was always professional and great to work with”

"This lesson was really great! I learned a lot from John in just our first session and he's covered all my trouble areas so far. At first, I wasn't completely sure what I needed help on, but knew that I wanted to improve and get up to higher courts. Once you figure out those trouble areas with the help of your coach, all you need to do is practice and drill the proper techniques in to your memory. John is super honest in the best possible, a great conversationalist, and very intentional with how he responds and teaches. What’s important is that he’s reminded me to keep what’s natural to me while also covering my ground and staying ready. If you’re looking for a coach that can target what you need help on, make you laugh, and keep the work fun all at the same time, then I would definitely check out John Roger’s.
