Martial arts has been a passion of mine for my entire life. Currently, i am the head striking coach at Metrolina Martial Arts, and have been for 2 years. I have a competitive muay thai/kickboxing record of 9‐3. I'm ranked in 3 different martial arts including jiu jitsu, in which i also compete. I've had the privilege of training with legends of the sport, in the states and in Thailand. I'm interested helping those who are interested in learning about, and participating in, combat sports.

"If you’re looking for a striking coach who actually gives a damn about your individual journey, Isaiah is the man. I didn’t exactly walk into the gym as a natural athlete. I came in overweight with a physical disability that I honestly thought would keep me from ever being effective at Muay Thai. Most coaches would have seen my limitations as a roadblock, but Isaiah saw them as a puzzle to solve. He didn't just give me generic combinations; he worked with me to modify my movements, ensuring I could train safely and effectively without aggravating my condition. Because of his patience and his high-level technical knowledge, I wasn't just able to lose a significant amount of weight—I actually learned how to strike. Whether you’re an elite competitor or someone just trying to get their health back on track like I was, he treats you with the same level of respect and dedication. I can’t recommend him enough.

Hi, I'm John Kelly, a Charlotte native & lifelong player/coach who grew up playing baseball in neighborhoods & sandlots - building natural "play reps" that carried into organized baseball. When kids have fun, they learn & play better. My baseball background: 1984 NC State Championship w/ Independence HS, multiple city/state All-Star titles, & 3-peat MSBL 45+ Fall Classic Championship (2017-2019). I offer high-energy, game-like training for players ages 8-14 focused on movement, fun, & max reps.

"Coach Kelly has a gift for connecting with young players. He teaches solid baseball fundamentals in a positive, encouraging environment. The drills are fun, the instruction is clear, and my son’s confidence improved after just a couple of sessions.
