I've been teaching private music lessons for 30 years. My goal is to have my students learn more about who they are as an individual through a methodical and interactive study that involves the deep roots of foundational theory combined with improvisational interactions and applications to create a wholistic knowledge of 3 dimensional self expression. My Bio: Sean Nowell holds degrees from Berklee College of Music in Jazz Composition and Manhattan School of Music in Jazz Performance and is a 30 year musical freelancer, educator and recording artist. He has traveled and collaborated with dancers, actors, painters, stilt walkers, and acrobats on multiple international tours as Musical Director for Bond Street Theatre and has represented The Istanbul Jazz Festival at Universities around Turkey with his Multimedia Electro-Jazz Ensemble, The Kung-Fu Masters. With his hip-hop theater collective, Soul Inscribed, he has represented the United States as Artistic Ambassador in Russia, Indonesia, Taiwan, Peru, and Mauritius. He is also the American Representative for an innovative electronic Midi wind instrument for saxophonists called the EMEO. His interest in utilizing cutting edge music technology has led him to recently give masterclasses at The American School of Modern Music in Paris and Loyola University in New Orleans.
"Sean Nowell is a music instructor with great integrity, enthusiasm and vision. His passion for both music and teaching are apparent in every lesson. As non-musicians, we were most impressed with the time and care he took with our son explaining how to get the best out of his instrument including care and maintenance. Most importantly, Sean provided the necessary inspiration to help our son move beyond seeing himself as just playing in a school band to a confident musician who looks forward to pursuing a career in music.

"‘Coach Edgar has been our son’s baseball coach for over 5 years. In that time, we have seen our son improve as a ball player, but more importantly learn lessons about perseverance , effort , confidence “and being a good teammate . Coach has taught him the fundamentals in baseball and helped teach him valuable lessons about life. As a parent when your kid might get to the point that he may be tuning you out a bit, it is important to have other role models outside the home to support our efforts. We were lucky that we found a great one in Coach Edgar! Thanks Coach ! ‘

Hi my name is Edgar, 22 years old. Been playing for 15 years and still playing in the APSL. Started at FC Harlem by the age of 8 until 15. Trained under Chelsea coaches. Having my own personal goalkeeping coach, training under him for 2 years. Later went on to play at Riverdale Kingsbridge Academy MS/HS. After high school went to Bronx Community College (BCC) playing with them for 1 year until I switched over to a APSL club called Kid Super Samba FC. Been playing semi-professionally with them for 4 years. After many years of playing I realized how difficult it is to find a proper goalkeeper trainer and I would love to give back to the community in helping coach young kids who aspire to become goalkeepers.
"His experience and reading of the game really helps me and shows me areas I need to improve in. And the feedback he gives during drills is extremely helpful because I thought the way I’ve been doing something for the longest has been the only way but he showed me other ways that I can approach it. His experience and feedback comes a long way.
