"Coach’s commitment to building skill, discipline, and confidence makes a game changer for anyone serious about basketball.

I have loved soccer since I was two. Starting with local clinics, leagues, and playing through school, I enjoyed the New Jersey and New York leagues and played five years in the ESFNA tournament for the New York Abay team as a right back. I paused my playing to become a coach, earning my C license and working on my B license with USA Soccer. I have coached middle school teams in Riverdale, Bronx, and worked with Soccer Kids NYC and the New York Red Bulls youth soccer club. Also, school.
"Start at an intermediate level, but the last class surprisingly completed the basic soccer skills very well.

I'm a former touring professional and the Director of Golf at Lounge X in Great Neck, NY. Before Lounge X, I spent 9 years teaching at Alley Pond Golf Center, working with everyone from beginners to competitive juniors and professional golfers. Every lesson is built around your game, your goals, and what will help you improve the fastest. Whether you're just getting started, trying to break 100, or preparing for tournament golf, my goal is to help you play better and enjoy the game more.
"Best instructor I ever learned from. It’s not just positions or random analogies but helping you understand biomechanics and most importantly how to generate force, power and release. Gabe teaches golf like a modern athlete that’s well versed in biomechanics. I learned full swing and short game and putting. Highly recommend

I am a football coach with only 2 years of experience, but I have a good approach with all students. The first thing I always do with my students is to talk to them first about how they feel and how they see themselves, how they want to enter the professional circuit. after helps to improve a lot in their position.
"Great

I've been teaching private music lessons for 30 years. My goal is to have my students learn more about who they are as an individual through a methodical and interactive study that involves the deep roots of foundational theory combined with improvisational interactions and applications to create a wholistic knowledge of 3 dimensional self expression. "I have been taking lessons from Sean Nowell for the last three years. I am an adult student and started playing tenor sax when I retired. I started with Sean as a complete novice - not only new to the tenor sax, but having never learned how to read sheet music other than rhythm for playing the drums. From the start Sean was very encouraging - even through the painful first lessons when I couldn't properly make sounds come out of the horn! Once I had the basics of learning to at least play all the notes on the range of the tenor sax, Sean moved me into learning all the scales through improvisational jazz. This was an excellent approach for me - since it got me started playing in a manner I desired, even before I could play any real jazz standards. Sean challenged me to continue to progress as we began to learn from standards in the Real Book. All along, Sean taught not just techniques in making good music, but music theory and composition to understand the changes that occur in many forms of jazz. When the iReal book app came available, Sean was quick to have me adopt it and use for even a better practice and playing experience. Sean has been careful not to over teach, but to experience learning through playing. Many of my most important learning lessons have been in back and forth improvisation sessions with Sean. Sean has helped me record my progress of the last three years - a testimonial for how far I have come - but also a reminder of how much more I can improve. I would highly recommend Sean for his terrific teaching talent - and of course his wonderful playing as a master jazz musician. My only wish is I had started sooner and had more years studying with Sean's guidance.

My ultimate goal as an educator is to guide you toward the realization of your potential. Our learning environment will nurture a personalized process of self-discovery through my guidance, as opposed to a one-size-fits-all system of dictation for how you should or should not develop and/or perceive material. I see each interaction with a student as a sacred opportunity to help facilitate realization, regardless of magnitude, and I have dedicated myself to refining my abilities as a musician and teacher, to that end. I am confident that through our lessons, I will not only help you become better at hearing, internalizing, and expressing music, but that I will guide you in developing your own personal musical voice and direction.
