Hi, I’m Ava Hrastar—a current professional tennis player and recent Division I college graduate(Auburn University) with about 15 years of experience on the court. Tennis has been a lifelong passion, and through years of training, competing, and growing as an athlete, I’ve developed not only my game but also a deep understanding of what it takes to succeed—both physically and mentally. I’m excited to share that passion and knowledge with others.

I teach tennis lessons to anyone and everyone. Never touched a racket? No problem! Do you want to go up a level, make the high school team, or be able to play with friends? Kids, high schoolers, adults, couples, and groups. I love tennis! USPTA level 2 Certified, Tennis Serve Specialist. Worked with Rick Macci (coach of 5 world #1 ones including Williams sisters and Andy Roddick), Jose Higuras (head of U.S. high performance program), Jeff Salzsentein (former top 100 player), Hans Podlipnik (Wimbledon QFist), and many others. Head high school coach for 11 years, active tournament player, patient teacher. Passionate about helping underserved kids throughout Seattle learn tennis and have organized and connected with many initiatives to do so. My goal is to help you achieve your goals whether that be improving technique or beginning to learn to play. To that extent, I am fairly flexible in my approach. For beginners, I focus on technique, proper grips, and generating topspin. To do this, I focus on hand feeding a lot of balls early on to develop proper technique and to train the muscle memory. Specifically, I teach a semi-western forehand, two-handed backhand, volley fundamentals, split stepping, proper footwork and serve mechanics. I also work with students who have one-handed backhands. I am a big believer in putting in a lot of time on the serve. For more experienced players, I will work with you to either identify areas for improvement or to work on areas you’ve identified you would like to improve.

Played junior competitive, pro-tournaments turned USPTA certified Coach. I have spent the past decade coaching at elite clubs in San Francisco, Miami, and NYC. I've studied the game thoroughly and still do, my teaching skills are always evolving. I see how you play and immediately know how to make you play, rally and have fun with tennis. A sport of a lifetime. I also manage junior high performance groups. I have a lot of drills and games to make your learning experience interesting and fun. If you are a high-performance player I could give you a very good practice, good pace rally, I could help you with your serve and strategy game. My high-performance competitive certification from Sanchez Vicario Academy provided me a great insight of the game, full of drills and modern concept strategies of understanding tennis latest advances. I could teach kids as well, love to make them have fun and like the sport.

I'm Donna Paysepar, a versatile performer known for my talents in opera, jazz, and Persian folk singing, as well as acting and dancing. I earned my BA in Performing Arts from Hunter College at the City University of New York, where I honed my skills and passion for the stage. With a diverse background in music and theater, I strive to bring emotion and storytelling to every performance, captivating audiences with each note and movement.

I’m a high school health and PE teacher with a dense sports background. Football was my main sport but I’ve been playing golf for almost 12 years now, currently hold a USGA 14.5 handicap. Built on an approach to move tee to green as efficiently as possible. Most amateur golfers philosophy is to par as much as you can but, what they don’t realize is if you bogey 18 holes of golf, you would shoot a 90. My goal for anyone who comes to me is to feel confident and become competitive in every round of golf they play.

Tennis has been a lifelong passion for me, but about three years ago, the magnetic allure of pickleball caught my attention. Intrigued and motivated to spread my love for this sport, I pursued PPR certification and embarked on a teaching journey that has now spanned over a year. My teaching endeavors have seen me conducting numerous classes, reaching out to hundreds of players at various levels of expertise, all within the welcoming environment of the YMCA. Pickleball is more than a game; it's a community, a vibrant connection of enthusiasts coming together to enjoy the thrill of the sport. As a dedicated instructor, my mission is to share this excitement and the skills that make the game enjoyable for players of all backgrounds and levels. My goal is to contribute to the growth of pickleball and help individuals discover the joy of this engaging and dynamic sport.
