Hello, my name is Arav, and I am a passionate, local tennis coach with 10+ years of  playing experience! Over the past several years, I have worked with many players - ranging from complete beginners picking up a racquet for the first time to advanced competitors and league players aiming to improve rating. I work across every developmental stage: Starters (Red & Orange Ball): Building hand-eye coordination, balance, spatial tracking, and clean contact through playful, high-energy games and low-compression balls. Intermediate(Green Ball to Full Court): Establishing consistent rally tolerance, dynamic split-stepping, dependable second serves, and court positioning. Advanced Players (Yellow Ball): Fine-tuning match tactics, mental resilience, high-percentage shot selection, and conditioning for varsity lineups and tournament competition.

Born in China and I came to the US when I was 15. I joined local swim team in Beijing when I was 7, I won 6 first place in regional competition when I was 12. I started playing basketball at 13, at the same time, I was recommended by middle school coach to run track, 100 meter, 200 meter, 300 hurdle, 4x100 and 4x400. In 2018 I was in the state meet competing. I was not the most physically gifted runner so I had to study the forms, techniques. I love the game of basketball and I experienced basketball from both cultures. I played JV in middle school and Varsity in High school, I played shooting guard position. Being not the most physically gifted, I had to work extra hard on my skills, understanding the game. I truly believe coaching track, swimming, basketball or any sports is bigger/more than just teaching youngsters the skills, it’s about life, lessons we learn from playing sports, spending time and energy to understand each other and one self. With 14 years of basketball instruction, I cultivate skills and passion on the court. I provide tailored coaching and unlock player potential through expert guidance and personalized training. I foster a positive and focused environment.

Michele's journey into pickleball began in 2017, driven by her preparation for the US Transplant Games the following year. Instantly enamored with the sport, she delved deep, earning both PPR Coach and IFP Instructor certifications in 2019 followed by RPO certification in 2025. As a dedicated Youth Pickleball Provider (YPP) with USA Pickleball, Michele's joy lies in coaching enthusiasts of all ages and skill levels, fostering a love for pickleball within her community.

"My family wanted to learn how to play. My two girls 12 &14 were hitting the ball around in our driveway but didn’t know all of the rules of the game. I set up a group lesson with Michele and she taught my 2 girls and my husband while I watched. We learned how to hold the paddle, proper swing mechanics and the rules while doing fun drills and games. Michele gave clear instructions and demonstrations that made it easy and enjoyable.

Hi, I have coached basketball at the 7th and 8th grade level, 9th grade and high school for both boys and girls. I am also a Special Olympics coach. I have worked individually too with teaching basketball fundamental skills. I still play basketball and have since I was 5 years old.
