My ESL tutoring journey began in 2021 when I volunteered at the nonprofit, LearningForALL, based on the University of Nebraska at Omaha's (UNO's) campus. I left LearningForALL in 2024 and began tutoring privately. The remainder of my tutoring/teaching experience came through an internship at UNO with the University's Intensive Language program. So far, all of my students have been kind, studious, and motivated to learn English for personal reasons such as employment, family ties, and others.

Hi! My name is Hilary, Elite Player Development Leader | Former Division I Athlete | USSF D License Candidate I have been immersed in competitive soccer my entire life, developing through some of the nation’s top programs and coaches. A Division I athlete at the University of Minnesota (Big Ten), I earned a full athletic scholarship after being recognized as a Top 50 national recruit (2001) and taking official visits to several elite programs, including USC, Notre Dame, UConn, and UMass. A graduate of Perrysburg High School, one of Ohio’s most respected academic and athletic schools, I excelled both on the field and in the classroom. I earned multiple All-Ohio honors, was a Top 5 All-American vote-getter, and still hold career assists and offensive records that stand today. I trained and competed with the Cleveland Internationals Soccer Club, one of the premier youth programs in the U.S., known for producing national champions, collegiate standouts, and professional players. I was a five-year ODP Ohio North State Team starter, a two-time U.S. Regional Team member starter, and a U.S. National Pool Team alternate for the ’84 age group representing my country in international play in 2001. My development was shaped under the mentorship of two of the most respected names in American soccer: Zdravko Popovic, U.S. Soccer Hall of Fame inductee and USSF “A” Licensed coach with over four decades of success producing national champions and professional athletes. Keri Sarver, former U.S. U20 Women’s National Team Head Coach (2018 World Cup), national staff coach, and decorated professional player known for advancing the women’s game at every level. In 2025, I stepped into coaching to elevate player development in my under developed soccer community - leading the Plattsmouth Women’s Varsity Soccer Program and the Plattsmouth U9 Girls Recreation Team. I am currently progressing through my USSF D License (Winter 2025) to further refine my technical and tactical coaching foundation. My approach blends elite-level training, Coerver Coaching Methodology, mentorship and purpose. I believe in developing confident, skilled athletes who lead with integrity on and off the field—balancing competitiveness with compassion, and precision with joy. A lifelong student of the game, I am committed to building a culture where players grow not just as athletes, but as leaders prepared for success in soccer and beyond.
"Hilary teaches with enthusiasm and passion. When we do drills, they all have a purpose, and she explains how that will integrate into a game situation. Not only does she teach us helpful and meaningful drills, she shows us examples of foot skills that we can use in game to improve our play. The way she coaches is both auditory and physical. She get involved. Many coaches only explain without showing. It doesn’t just feel like I’m being talked at, it feels like I’m learning from a fellow player.
