Brendan began helping golfers develop their games while he was the assistant golf coach at Colorado College for two years while teaching chemistry there. He turned professional in 2000 and played on the Hooters, Tear Drop, and Moonlight mini tours for two and half years. Brendan has worked at Olney Golf Park for more than six years and has been an assistant professional for the last four. As an amateur golfer he played for and captained his high school and college teams, and was selected as a member of the Division III All-Coaches Team as a collegiate player.
With 17 years on the basketball court, experience in the premier Division 2 conference in the nation and being only 20 years old I understand what it takes to be an elite basketball player at any level. I understand the struggles that come along with the game and the pressure of wanting to succeed as an athlete in general also which is why I believe I would greatly benefit any player that chooses me to coach them. Growing up in the DMV I had to face alot of tough competition and that naturally brings tough coaching. For me it's bigger than teaching someone how to dribble and shoot I believe in the idea of coaching is connecting to a player that will understand and put words into action. any out of shape older gentleman could pick up a basketball and make a group of kids run for 2 hours and call it "Coaching" however my style of coaching is much different. I show my players, I demonstrate for my players, I believe that the only way for younger players to truly learn is by......Playing the game of basketball. it's that simple for me. as a coach I understand not everybody is blessed with my tools of being 6'8 and athletic. I lecture the importance of spacing, timing, decision making when playing the game of basketball. I always tell younger players to look at overseas basketball. I thrive to eventually play at that level because of the reasons id explain to my players. They are not just producing freak athletes, they are growing up being taught to be unselfish, taught to work as a unit when in control of the ball. skills that simply do not get produced regularly in modern day AAU. Choosing me to mold your player's development will inevitably see results in all aspects not simply Offense/Defense.
