Private Lessons & Coaches in Old Orchard Beach, ME

Over the past 5 years I have been having the time of my life playing and teaching pickleball. I started this journey many years ago as a high school tennis coach and later becoming a collegiate men's and women's tennis coach. During this time I started teaching private lessons to a wide variety of players from beginners to advanced. I started hearing more and more about Pickleball and saw the easy transition from tennis. I started playing at my local park and fell in love with the game.

I have worked with students from pre-k through 5th grade. This past. year I worked in a specialized program for students with high academic and behavioral needs. I was part of creating and implementing individualized programs to meet student need. I got a literacy and phonics certification through the Orton-Gillingham program that I utilized as a key component in meeting student reading and writing deficits. I work mainly one on one with students.

My name is Jean-Christophe Barré. I was born and grew up in Normandy France. With more than twenty years ‘experience as a French Instructor at the University Level & other institutions,, I have developed and refined curriculum and strategies to help students in effectively learning French as a second language at all levels. I enjoy crafting and resourcing engaging material (short movies, authentic documents, discussions) to inspire students and make them speak in real-life situations.
