Hi my name is Horacio Hernandez! I’m a guitarist and educator with a bachelor’s degree in Guitar Performance and Music Education from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. This educational background has not only provided me with formal teaching qualifications but also a deep appreciation for the transformative power of music in education. My training spans classical, jazz, rock, and more. I’ve worked with students of all levels—from complete beginners to advanced players preparing for auditions or performances. Basketball has been a major part of my life. I played in high school and college before a serious injury ended my playing career and led me into coaching. I went on to build a successful AAU program, start a sports media company, and become a basketball referee. My experience as a player, coach, mentor, and official allows me to teach not only basketball skills, but also confidence, discipline, basketball IQ, and a true understanding of the game.

I have been teaching golf on and off for the past 7 years at different golf courses and facilities. I have been playing golf for 23 years with 6 years playing on small professional tours. My teaching style focuses on what a student looks for and understanding limitations and backgrounds. I work with juniors and adults of all ages. Beginners to advanced students. The goal remains the same: to curate a great environment for you to learn and improve.

I have a B. A in Psychology, I am a Certified Recovery Support Specialist, Youth & Adult Mental Health Aider, CPR/First Aid. I have been a tutor for 3 years, specifically in topics of Elementary Reading and Math from Pre-K-5th grade, but I can assist with other subjects provided the focus area the assistance is needed. I have also been an after school instructor for cooking and steam classes. I enjoy helping children gain confidence in knowledge to progress in academics and life journey.

Hi, I’m David Labno. I have a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering from UIUC, over a decade of STEM tutoring experience, and was named Adjunct Instructor of the Year in 2015. I help students with physics, math, and general chemistry by breaking concepts into clear steps. My style is patient, encouraging, and concept-focused. In our first lesson, we’ll identify your goals, find the sticking points, and build confidence from there.

With over 7 years of volleyball experience I have developed a deep passion for the game both on and off the court as a division one volleyball commit to Howard University, I understand the dedication discipline and hard work required to compete at a high level.
