I have loved soccer since I was two. Starting with local clinics, leagues, and playing through school, I enjoyed the New Jersey and New York leagues and played five years in the ESFNA tournament for the New York Abay team as a right back. I paused my playing to become a coach, earning my C license and working on my B license with USA Soccer. I have coached middle school teams in Riverdale, Bronx, and worked with Soccer Kids NYC and the New York Red Bulls youth soccer club. Also, school.
"Start at an intermediate level, but the last class surprisingly completed the basic soccer skills very well.

Hi my name is Edgar, 22 years old. Been playing for 15 years and still playing in the APSL. Started at FC Harlem by the age of 8 until 15. Trained under Chelsea coaches. Having my own personal goalkeeping coach, training under him for 2 years. Later went on to play at Riverdale Kingsbridge Academy MS/HS. After high school went to Bronx Community College (BCC) playing with them for 1 year until I switched over to a APSL club called Kid Super Samba FC. Been playing semi-professionally with them for 4 years. After many years of playing I realized how difficult it is to find a proper goalkeeper trainer and I would love to give back to the community in helping coach young kids who aspire to become goalkeepers.

For two decades, I've cultivated a deep understanding of lacrosse, and I'm eager to share my insights. I grew up on Long Island so lacrosse has always been a part of my life. My playing career began when I was 6 years old, playing up with my older brother. I attended St. Anthony’s High School while playing for LI Express in the summer. For those years I was around some of the best coaches in the lacrosse world and gained invaluable information from them about lacrosse. After St. Anthony’s I attended St. John’s University as a member of the lacrosse team. I was lucky enough to play all four years there, playing attack, offensive midfield and defensive midfield. Upon graduation I decided to be a college assistant coach at Misericordia University where I was in charge of the defense, and helped lead our team to a conference title. Lacrosse will always be my passion, I enjoy all facets of the game and enjoy giving back to players with all the information I have gained of the game. I focus on helping athletes elevate their game through strategic development and personalized instruction. My goal is to instill confidence and a love for the sport.

I am the founder of a 501(c)3 non-profit entitled the Flute Pedagogy Project, which focuses on creating and distributing free and level-appropriate curriculum to beginner and intermediate flute players. From crafting lyrical melodies to mastering technical finesse, I have dedicated the last 3 years to guiding flutists of all levels. "I have been taking lessons from Sean Nowell for the last three years. I am an adult student and started playing tenor sax when I retired. I started with Sean as a complete novice - not only new to the tenor sax, but having never learned how to read sheet music other than rhythm for playing the drums. From the start Sean was very encouraging - even through the painful first lessons when I couldn't properly make sounds come out of the horn! Once I had the basics of learning to at least play all the notes on the range of the tenor sax, Sean moved me into learning all the scales through improvisational jazz. This was an excellent approach for me - since it got me started playing in a manner I desired, even before I could play any real jazz standards. Sean challenged me to continue to progress as we began to learn from standards in the Real Book. All along, Sean taught not just techniques in making good music, but music theory and composition to understand the changes that occur in many forms of jazz. When the iReal book app came available, Sean was quick to have me adopt it and use for even a better practice and playing experience. Sean has been careful not to over teach, but to experience learning through playing. Many of my most important learning lessons have been in back and forth improvisation sessions with Sean. Sean has helped me record my progress of the last three years - a testimonial for how far I have come - but also a reminder of how much more I can improve. I would highly recommend Sean for his terrific teaching talent - and of course his wonderful playing as a master jazz musician. My only wish is I had started sooner and had more years studying with Sean's guidance.
