Hi, I’m Michael Stine III, a PPR Certified Professional Pickleball Coach and competitive player based in Southern California. I’ve been playing pickleball for three years and competing at a high level in CAPA, iPickle, collegiate tournaments, and internationally. I’ve coached athletes ranging from ages 8 to 60+, including Junior PPA and National Junior Pickleball champions. Many of my students have gone on to win tournaments at the 3.0–5.0 levels in singles, doubles, and mixed divisions. My coaching approach focuses on developing strong fundamentals and technical precision, smart strategy and tactical awareness, and mental toughness to elevate your game quickly. Whether you’re a beginner learning proper technique or an advanced player refining your competitive edge, I’ll tailor each session to your specific goals and skill level. I believe in building confidence through consistency, positivity, and game-based learning so you’ll not only improve but have fun doing it. With a surfboard in hand since childhood, I bring 15 years of experience to my coaching. My passion lies in helping others discover the joy of riding waves, building confidence and technique from beginner to intermediate. I tailor each lesson to individual needs. Welcome to Golf Lessons by coach Kollar, where passion meets precision. Mile Square Golf Club in Fountain Valley is my home course, where I’ll often be found, sharpening & working on my game. As a trained golf instructor, I specialize in offering a personalized swing and short game lesson in golf. Whether you're a beginner, eager to learn the basics and fundamentals of the game, or intermediate player aiming to refine your overall golfing ability, the lessons I implement are designed to enhance your overall golf game, while most importantly helping you to enjoy the time you spend practicing. As a graduate of Golf Academy of America, Carlsbad, California (unfortunately no longer in business), I studied the golf swing, psychology of golf, and complex teaching methods as well as golf game management. I also learned how to build and assemble golf clubs, as well as expanding my knowledge on the vast and complex rules of golf. During my 2 years at GAA, beyond my studies, I competed at a collegiate level, making the competitive Golf Team each semester I attended. I came to understand that there are no two identical golf swings. My job is to influence you to find the mechanically correct way to improve your swing and develop your short game, to help you enjoy golf more than you ever have!

My journey in golf began at age five, competing in tournaments by age nine. I proudly represented Davis Senior High School's Varsity golf team for all four years. Although I didn't make the cut for the University of Oregon's D1 golf team, my passion for the sport remained undiminished. During high school, I shared my love for golf by coaching kids at the Golf and Splash summer camp in Davis. Now, I'm committed to regular practice, striving to lower my index back to scratch.
