Hi, I’m Brian Simpson, a PPR-certified pickleball coach originally from Scotland and now proud to call Ventura, California home. I love helping people discover the fun, social side of pickleball while building confidence and fitness along the way. Whether you’ve never picked up a paddle or you’re getting back into movement after a break, I’ll meet you exactly where you are, no pressure, just progress.

I am an experienced and diversely skilled writer, adept in creative writing, screenwriting, and critical essay writing. I received my Master of Arts in English with a specialization in Creative Writing from Loyola Marymount University. While at LMU, I worked as a Student-Athlete Tutor in writing and rhetoric, and was nominated for Graduate Student Employee of the Year for student success outcomes. The ability to write is invaluable, and I would love to be a part of your writing journey!

With over 25 years of basketball playing experience, I cultivated my own skills and passion. I wasn't training with fancy trainers, I was simply putting the work in needed. This "back against the wall" mentality led me to division 1 basketball and playing professionally overseas for 6 years. When injuries took over, I began training aspiring pros coming out of college with no contract. I focused on the building of two players and both ended up getting contracts overseas. I train high school and middle school kids as well, but they must have a deep passion to get better. My focus is on personalized training to elevate each player's game in the respective ways needed for the individual. I bring seriousness, passion, planning, execution and expertise to a commitment of helping young aspiring hoopers excel.
