I am a graduate of Valparaiso University with degrees in music and theatre and I have been teaching piano, voice, and acting students for over 8 years. It is my personal philosophy that learning should be joyful and a ton of fun! I am a graduate of Second City’s Music Improv Conservatory, and I have taught young people and adults of all ages across Chicago and Los Angeles with Chicago Children’s Theatre, Lifeline Theatre, MA School of Acting, and in Chicago Public Schools. You may have seen me in the Romantic Comedy film Baking Up Love, in commercials for Smithfield, Pearson Textbooks, The Kentucky Lottery and more, as well as countless theatre productions and voiceovers. I played on my college intramural team and have taken lessons from professionals that played in college. I regularly play in basketball leagues that even have players over 6’8” tall. I am well versed in young children as I have taught young students English from three years up. (I have my own kids these ages) I am bilingual Mandarin and can explain concepts well in both languages. I am patient, kind, and enjoy seeing others achieve their goals.
