Hi, My name is Kate. With over 25 years of experience, I have traveled and competed in professional tournaments all over the world. Throughout my career, I achieved a USTA National Ranking of #6, reached quarterfinal of the KPSF Open, earned an ITF ranking of 170, and a WTA ranking of 490. A full scholarship to the NCAA Division 1 university allowed me to continue my competitive career, where I achieved an ITA singles ranking of #18 in the nation and was honored as an Athlete of the Year.

A professional conference interpreter with a 25-year career with the United Nations. Have taught master classes at the Metropolitan University, University of Westminster and University of Bath in the U.K., as well as the Monterey Instutute of International Studies in the U.S.A. Native English + fluent Russiam, French and Spanish.

With over 15 years of surfing experience and 9+ years as a surf instructor, I deliver professional, safety-focused coaching tailored to all skill levels. My expertise in wave reading, surf technique, and ocean awareness helps students build confidence and progress efficiently. I’ve been coaching since 2016 at Nike Tennis Camp (Stanford). Worked Cardinal tennis since 2016 where I ran clinic. In 2024, I started coaching private lessons in Menlo Park area. I mainly work with red ball, orange ball, yellow ball (beginner and intermediate level). I have players who are playing in tournaments, so I coach them and take them to tourney’s too.

"Oh, I’d say the lesson was quite helpful, really, we worked through when to use line or cross shots, plus some focus on my forehand and backhand ground strokes. Though I’d like to get more practice on my serve and volleys at the net, the work on adding power to my serve felt quite useful.
