Hi there, I'm Tom, and I'm currently one of the head coaches at Picklr Fountain Valley. I'm a dedicated IPTPA certified Pickleball instructor with a strong foundation in the sport, backed by over 3 years of playing experience. Recently played in PPA Las Vegas and finished with silver in 4.5 Mens Singles. Having triumphed in Round Robin events at Tustin Pickleball, I bring over two decades of tennis expertise, infusing a unique perspective into pickleball coaching. Finished with the gold at recent CAPA event at Los Cab Club. Passionate about nurturing skills in a fun and enjoyable manner, I'm committed to helping players of all levels excel on the court. I suck at learning at the age of 42 and Tom has been patient with me throughout the lesson. 1 hour was pre challenging but kept me focused he gives you good advice and checks your mistakes and compliments what youre doing good. I'm a certified PPR pickleball instructor, fully insured, and a registered member of USA Pickleball. Sports have been my passion since day one, competing in various ball-related tournaments worldwide, consistently ranking in the top 10 of the 30-year-old division for an impressive 12 years. Alongside pickleball, I have a deep affection for boxing, racquetball, baseball, ping pong, and all things sports-related. Having participated in over 40 amateur fights, I have honed my skills and transitioned into becoming a professional boxer, currently boasting an impressive record of 7 professional fights.

I have over 30 years of basketball instruction, including playing, training and coaching. I've honed a coaching philosophy that emphasizes both fundamental skill development hard work and discipline. My passion is giving a supportive yet challenging environment where athletes can reach their full potential, on and off the court.

I’ve been playing soccer my whole life at some of the highest youth levels, including MLS NEXT, ECNL, and varsity soccer at Mater Dei High School. I’ve also been coaching for about a year now and really enjoy helping players improve the areas they need most, while also developing skills specific to their position. I’m a lifelong student of the game, raised in a family of coaches, and I’ve spent years in the gym studying how players actually improve. I care about the details—footwork, decision-making, and building skills that show up in real games. Every session is focused on helping players grow their confidence, understand the game, and become more effective when it matters. I built my own game around efficiency—shooting over 60% from three with a 3:1 assist-to-turnover ratio—and that same approach is what I now use to help players improve and reach their potential. Above all, my goal is to help players develop a genuine love for the game that lasts a lifetime.

I spent much of my younger adult life playing golf professionally and attempting to qualify for the PGA tour. I was competing more then teaching but along the way, I learned from some of the best instructors in the country..Ive always loved dissecting the swing and helping others understand what creates improvement. Nothing is more rewarding than seeing the "light bulb moment" when it clicks. I enjoy working with golfers of all skill levels.i look forward to helping you enjoy golf even more.

With a lifelong background in racket sports, including tennis, table tennis, and a passion for pickleball, I combine my experience as a competitive 5.0-level pickleball medalist with three Division 1 tennis championships and a Southern California CIF semifinal appearance. I currently teach at Mulholland Hills Country Club and Mika's Tennis Academy and have previously worked as a Special Education instructor, Registered Behavior Therapist, Adaptive Skills Clinician, Mobility Trainer, and Physical Therapist Aide. I hold a Master's degree in Special Education with a concentration in Applied Behavior Analysis and a Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology and Biomechanics. My students have earned medals from the 2.5–4.5 levels and qualified for USA Pickleball Nationals.
