Hi, I’m Coach Alex. I’ve taught tennis for 15+ years across three countries, working with players of all ages and skill levels. I’m PTR and USTA certified, and my coaching style focuses on making tennis simple, effective, and enjoyable. Every lesson is tailored to each player’s goals, whether improving technique, building confidence, or competing at a higher level. I’ve also worked with various clubs and tennis associations throughout my career.

I am the current Head Tennis Professional at Bayclub Santa Clara as well as the owner of Momentum Tennis in Cupertino. I am also the varsity coach at Lynbrook High school. With over 15 years of teaching experience, I've developed hundreds of youth and adults. Daniel Watson Carnegie is a dedicated basketball coach, mentor, and current college basketball player with a passion for player development and leadership. A product of nationally ranked high school programs including Wasatch Academy, Real Salt Lake Academy, Utah Prep, and The Skill Factory (TSF), Daniel brings elite-level experience and a team-first mentality to every environment he enters. Daniel is currently continuing his academic and athletic journey as a college basketball player at De Anza College, where he contributes both on the court and as a role model for his teammates. His coaching experience includes serving as an Assistant Coach for Do It Better Basketball AAU teams under Jon Mercado, where he helped structure practices, develop player skills, and support tournament strategy. He has also mentored young athletes as a Camp Coach at Empower Me Academy under Jerome Gumbs, and as a Camp Counselor at Wasatch Academy, where he developed his leadership and communication abilities in a structured residential setting. Beyond basketball, Daniel has held multiple leadership roles, including Student Council President and board member of the African American Consulate during his time at Wasatch Academy. He has consistently maintained strong academic performance and believes in developing well-rounded athletes through discipline, focus, and mentorship. Daniel is committed to using his experience as both a player and coach to inspire the next generation of athletes and build strong, character-driven teams.

Born and raised in the rustic landscapes of New Hampshire, I spent my formative years immersed in the rich tapestry of music, thanks to the inspiring influence of my parents—both talented recording artists. My mother, a classical singer with a master's degree, not only imparted her passion for music but also shaped the local community as the chair of the voice department at the Concord Community Music School, where I first began my musical journey at the tender age of six. My father was a guitarist and producer, who built the first home recording studio I know of. Together, they were the centerpiece of a local children's rock group, Peggosus. I spent most days immersed their various crafts. From the moment I stepped foot in CCMS, music became my language and my calling. At thirteen, I picked up the guitar, and it ignited a lifelong relationship with the instrument that I continue to explore. My academic pursuits took me to the Berklee College of Music, where I earned my Bachelor of Music with the highest honors, further propelling my passion for music education. My journey has taken me across the country, performing with numerous bands and absorbing a wealth of musical experiences that inform my teaching. I take pride in offering a unique singing method that delivers immediate results to my students, fostering both confidence and skill in their vocal performance. In tandem with this, my guitar-study approach transcends genre boundaries, enhancing flow and technical ability almost instantly. With a commitment to nurturing creativity and fostering a love for music, I strive to guide my students in unlocking their full potential, encouraging them to find their unique voice in the vibrant world of music.

I’ve been coaching since 2016 at Nike Tennis Camp (Stanford). Worked Cardinal tennis since 2016 where I ran clinic. In 2024, I started coaching private lessons in Menlo Park area. I mainly work with red ball, orange ball, yellow ball (beginner and intermediate level). I have players who are playing in tournaments, so I coach them and take them to tourney’s too.
