My journey in golf began at age five, competing in tournaments by age nine. I proudly represented Davis Senior High School's Varsity golf team for all four years. Although I didn't make the cut for the University of Oregon's D1 golf team, my passion for the sport remained undiminished. During high school, I shared my love for golf by coaching kids at the Golf and Splash summer camp in Davis. Now, I'm committed to regular practice, striving to lower my index back to scratch.

Coach Larry Vargas started his coaching & tennis experience first with "NIKE INC. in the TENNIS DIVISION" This provided the opportunity to work & interact inside a top level tennis environment with professional coaches/ trainers and even TOP RATED USTA TENNIS PLAYERS. He then went on to receive his C.I.F. Coaching Certificate and became the Head Tennis Coach for Notre Dame High School/ Riverside. He also became part of the "JR. TENNIS.PROGRAM" for the city of Riverside offering group tennis lessons for kids of all ages. Coach Vargas specializes in coaching / training young adults & kids of all ages. Travis is a dedicated PGA member and TPI Golf Level 3 certified instructor who found his passion for golf early and never looked back. With over 15 years of teaching experience and a lead instructor role at Big Canyon Country Club, Travis combines expertise with cutting-edge tools like high-speed video, Swing Catalyst, K-Motion technology, and launch monitors to analyze and enhance each athlete’s performance. His approach centers on biomechanics and the body-swing connection, focusing on rhythm, feel, and flow to help players fully enjoy the game. Outside of golf, Travis and his wife Erin, along with their three children, Courtlynn, Jordy, and Bodie, enjoy an active lifestyle filled with sports, the beach, mountains, and travel adventures from their home in Aliso Viejo. Range balls are included in the price of the lesson.

My journey with pickleball began in 2022, igniting a passion that has quickly propelled me to a DUPR rating of 4.85. In the 2 tournaments I have competed in, I remain unbeaten with a 19-0 record. Beyond tournaments, my skills have been consistently tested and proven on the courts of Maple Hill, iPickle Whittier, and iPickle LaHabra, where I perform well against players rated 4.5 and above.
