I have been playing tennis for over twenty years. This is includes competing in junior tournaments, playing in high school and junior college. I’ve teaching for almost fifteen years. I teach all ages and levels. Many of my players have gone on to play varsity at the high school level. My teaching style is to start with the fundamentals and add more as the student improves, constantly pushing them to improve.

With over 25 years of experience in the game, golf has been a lifelong passion that has taken me from junior competitions to D1 collegiate golf and beyond. I played for Oregon State University and did not miss a tournament. Additionally, I have competed at the U.S. Girls Junior Amateurs twice (‘08, ‘09) and the U.S. Women's Amateurs twice (‘12, ‘14). My PR is 64 back in high school. After college, I competed professionally on the Cactus Tour in Arizona, where I secured a tournament win at -11. While in Arizona, I also found joy in teaching, working with kids ages 6 to 12 at the TopGolf Summer Academy, helping them develop strong fundamentals and a love for the game. I also have experience going to Q-School and made it to Stage 2 my first year. Whether you're a beginner looking to build confidence and a strong foundation or an experienced player looking to lower your scores, I offer tailored lessons based on your goals. "I had such a great lesson with Roger! He taught me the fundamentals of the forehand, backhand, volleys, and how to hit a lob, but what really stood out was how much he focused on proper technique and the small details that make a big difference. One tip that really stuck with me was learning to keep my eyes on the contact point when hitting the ball, which immediately helped my consistency. Roger is patient, encouraging, and explains everything in a way that’s easy to understand, no matter your skill level. I left the lesson feeling more confident and excited to keep improving. This lesson might honestly be one of the reasons I hope to come back to San Clemente someday. I’d love to train with Roger again. Highly recommend him to anyone looking to improve their game!
