I am a graduate of Valparaiso University with degrees in music and theatre and I have been teaching piano, voice, and acting students for over 8 years. It is my personal philosophy that learning should be joyful and a ton of fun! I am a graduate of Second City’s Music Improv Conservatory, and I have taught young people and adults of all ages across Chicago and Los Angeles with Chicago Children’s Theatre, Lifeline Theatre, MA School of Acting, and in Chicago Public Schools. You may have seen me in the Romantic Comedy film Baking Up Love, in commercials for Smithfield, Pearson Textbooks, The Kentucky Lottery and more, as well as countless theatre productions and voiceovers. I'm a seasoned music producer, songwriter, pianist, and guitarist with over 15 years of experience in the music industry. A proud graduate of New York University's Music Technology program, I've dedicated my career to creating music for clients and sharing my expertise through teaching. My journey includes founding the music program at NYU's Shanghai campus, where I initiated choral groups instrumental ensembles, and provided private lessons to budding guitar and piano players. As a music educator, I've worked with students of all ages and skill levels, from beginners to professionals. Let's groove! I have been performing as a bassist for over 18 years, and teaching for over ten years. As an instructor, I meet students where they are and tailor my teaching approach accordingly. About me: I tour the US and internationally with Future Teens, an indie rock band with over three LPs on our resume. I studied bass performance at Berklee College of Music, where I earned the Bass Department Outstanding Performer Award and Scholarship. I have a BA in English and French from Skidmore College (‘13). I have worked with students between the ages of six and sixty and welcome students of all ages.
