Imagine getting to play the part of music that makes people dance. With 18 years of experience, I provide personalized guidance, helping you master techniques and unleash your musicality. Let's groove! I have been performing as a bassist for over 18 years, and teaching for over ten years. As an instructor, I meet students where they are and tailor my teaching approach accordingly. Lessons are collaborative; I want to get to know each student and your individual goals and learning style in order to create an open and comfortable learning environment. My extensive musical background allows you to choose music YOU like to play, and through each song we will work on specific technical, harmonic, and rhythmic concepts. I use my experience as an active working musician to inform the lessons and ground everything you learn in real-world application. About me: I toured the US and internationally with Future Teens, an indie rock band with over three LPs on our resume. Future Teens has been featured on NPR, The Boston Globe, and WBUR, and was Boston Music Awards’ 2019 Alt/Indie Artist of the Year. I have worked with students between the ages of six and sixty and welcome students of all ages.
"Maya was a patient, kind and supportive guitar teacher. My daughter looked forward to her lessons each week, and left feeling confident. Maya was always open to Annabelle's ideas (hello, Taylor Swift!) and encouraged her to try new things. She is an accomplished musician and we were very sorry to see her go!

"Coach Eric was my son's first 8-10 yr old youth league basketball coach. My son is slightly autistic and was very shy and a beginner when he started, but Coach Eric was very tolerant and patient with him. Coach worked with my son for several years until his teenage years. I would definitely recommend Eric to any parent looking for a coach to work with their kids, especially if they are young and/or beginners.

With a tournament win under my belt, I bring passion and expertise to every pickleball lesson. I come from a table tennis background since I was 10 years old. "Brian demonstrates a novel way of teaching by giving me the opportunity to identify my own mistakes based on the content that I learned from him on the spot. This exercise, along with the drills, helps me better understand the concepts that we learned today. If there is one improvement I have to state, it’s that the drop shot adjustments could be introduced better. Give them awareness that the balls can come at different height/different speeds first and then show them the techniques to handle such cases.
