I have a passion for working with students and helping them learn. Witnessing my players' growth and development as individuals gives me a tremendous sense of accomplishment. When I can positively influence their skills, I feel fulfilled in my role as a coach. Additionally, I strive to foster a friendly and supportive relationship with my players, as I believe that being seen as a friend first, then a coach, is crucial for maximizing the learning potential and making lessons engaging and enjoyable for the students. In group lessons, I incorporate diverse group exercises to enhance the overall learning experience.

Just want to teach you to crush the ball and go low. I’m a 23 year old kid that’s won on the SCPGA Jr. Tour trying to make enough money to compete in tournaments. I’ve been obsessed with the game of golf for over a decade and would love to share what I’ve learned to those wanting to take their game to the next level. "I’ve taken a few lessons with Jacob now and my swing has only improved. What I liked most is he helped me understand how to generate more power in my golf swing, which is something I’ve been wanting to improve on as an 51 year old golfer, and also how to get it out without putting strain on my body. He does a great job dumbing down concepts for someone like me to understand i.e. making analogies to other sports and for me that helps a lot since I did not grow up playing golf.

I coached a lot of younger professional players when I was young, anything to get their attention and they listened. Euro 2024 and a lot of countries players. If you want me to coach your team to win a league it’s not difficult for me. I don’t need to play to coach. I prefer to play and coach.

Former D1 and D3 tennis player at Ball State University with a 12 UTR. One of my favorite moments in my career was making the Semifinals of the NCAA D3 Singles Championship in Orlando during my freshman year at Pacific University (Oregon). Tennis has been my passion since day one and it’s shaped who I am. Now I coach because I love helping others level up and see real improvement. Whether it’s fixing the little things or building confidence, I’m all about making the game more fun, competitive, and rewarding for every player I work with.

I have a 5.0 UTR ranking and a total of 25 years dedicated to playing and coaching tennis across all ages and skill levels. "Highly recommend this coach for technical guidance and thoughtful feedback. I improved quickly in just one session. We worked on a warm-up, forehand and backhand fundamentals, and hits from both the baseline and service line. He also brought in insight from his gymnastics and movement background, which was helpful because tennis a more fluid, almost dance-like feel. He understands the mechanics and genuinely cares about teaching.

"I had such a great lesson with Roger! He taught me the fundamentals of the forehand, backhand, volleys, and how to hit a lob, but what really stood out was how much he focused on proper technique and the small details that make a big difference. One tip that really stuck with me was learning to keep my eyes on the contact point when hitting the ball, which immediately helped my consistency. Roger is patient, encouraging, and explains everything in a way that’s easy to understand, no matter your skill level. I left the lesson feeling more confident and excited to keep improving. This lesson might honestly be one of the reasons I hope to come back to San Clemente someday. I’d love to train with Roger again. Highly recommend him to anyone looking to improve their game!
