My name is Blake Hathcoat. I have played golf for 20 years, and played Division 1 golf at Saint Mary’s College. After school, I turned professional and played on many tours including PGA Tour, Korn Ferry Tour, and PGA Tour Canada. Hey everyone, I’m Jon! I’m a 5.0 level player and professional coach that has 3+ years of teaching experience at The Hub Alameda and locally. As someone who worked their way up to 5.0 from the intermediate level, I am intimately familiar with all the pitfalls along the way from beginner to advanced levels and what it takes to grind to that level. I am a pickleball player, former health and fitness coach, and currently working in a private practice as an associate clinical mental health therapist. Pickleball is a sport I value for its creativity, physical challenge, and its ability to both quiet and challenge the mind. In my coaching, I go beyond advanced pickleball technique by integrating the mental side of the game. I represented the Czech Republic at the 2025 Pickleball World Cup Championship in Fort Lauderdale and designed a pickleball-based therapy program for teens with anxiety and depression—helping players build confidence, focus, and resilience both on and off the court.

Originally from Israel, my love for tennis began at age 9, leading me to train at various top academies in my home country. By my late teens, I had achieved the 2nd spot in a national tournament and competed internationally, which deepened my passion for the sport. My journey took me to Spain for further training and then to the United States, where I played singles and doubles for a Division 1 tennis team for 4 years. Now, I find immense joy in coaching and watching my students grow both in their skills and their appreciation for the game.
