I came from a sports and athletic background. I played football, basketball, and baseball as a kid. I also played college tennis and college basketball. 5 years ago, I picked up pickleball paddle, and everything changed. I played in my first senior pro event after only playing for 6 months. I love pickleball and the pickleball community. I have now won cover 30 tournaments from 4.0 to 4.5 to 5.0. I have also achieved silver and bronze on several other tournaments. I get as much satisfaction teaching and helping people get better as I do winning gold in tournaments. I am the head pickleball pro at AAG in Mesa, Arizona. I have been teaching pickleball for the last 3 years. I have taught clinics, private lessons, youth leagues, and private groups. I look for specific things to help clients improve on, depending on your level and tendencies.

For a little over 30 years I’ve been a PGA instructor and successfully helped golfers from beginners to touring professionals hone their golfing skills. I teach at Papago golf course which is also the home Arizona State University golf teams. Papago Opened in September of 1963 and Hosted the 1971 USGA Public Links Championship with my father Arch as the first Head Professional. •About me (golf) My name is Noel Sims. I am a professional golfer located in Phoenix, Arizona. I am 28-years old and have been playing the game since I could walk. I have been competing in golf tournaments from ages 3-current and have played in some elite events as a junior golfer, amateur golfer and professional golfer. While finishing my junior career, I was ranked the #1 African-American in the nation and top 240 in the world on the JGS rankings. I played 1-year at South Mountain Community College where I was apart of a NJCAA National Championship team in 2016 and finished my collegiate career at Alabama State from years 2017-2021 (redshirt year at SMCC and a Covid-19 year at ASU). I was a consistent starting at both programs and have a lot experience of playing different styles of golf. I turned professional in 2021 and have made 2/2 cuts at the 2021 Outlaw Tour Wigwam Red Classic and the 2023 Arizona Open (haven’t played much professional due to finishing my Master’s Degree while also working after my collegiate career). • About me (education) I have an extensive passion for helping others reach their true potential. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Studies and a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. My passion for others goes farther than just helping others in a room, but also outdoors! With a 30 year tennis playing and coaching career, culminating with a top 40 national ranking and playing D1 at the #1 spot, Andrew was convinced to try pickleball on a whim 4 years ago. He was instantly hooked and immediately began a pursuit of competition and knowledge that took him across the country. He loves every minute of playing and teaching, and the most rewarding part is seeing his students put lessons, tips, and tricks into their gameplay. He competes in tournaments when he can fit them into his busy schedule raising 3 kids with their own athletic aspirations. He is Selkirk/PCI certified and plays at the 5.0+ level.
