I’m a former division 1 college tennis player who is currently the head tennis coach for the boys team at Canby High School. I’ve been playing pickle ball for over 20 years and I look forward to sharing my knowledge and love for the game with students and players from a variety of backgrounds.

The lesson was quite steady, I’d say, especially since we managed a good rally, which was pretty satisfying. Though, I think more focus on rallies and the rules could help build overall game confidence. Still, Luke has a calm way about him, which makes it easier to stay engaged. I might try to work on those aspects in future lessons, but this one was a solid experience. If you’re after lessons that build a relaxed yet purposeful atmosphere, it’s worth giving Luke a try.

César is an incredible coach. During our first lesson he watched me take all of the common strokes and we found areas to work on. For me my biggest weaknesses have been stroke mechanics, strike zone awareness, and positioning. I’m a beginner and he gives instruction that meets me where I’m at but I can also see how his coaching style would work just as well for experienced players looking to improve a specific aspect of their game.
