With a Master's degree, I have spent 35 years teaching ELL, ESL, Writing, Reading Comp, Theater, Public Speaking and Debate. I retired in 2016 and continue to tutor. I have also written 6 children's books, a play and a movie script. I want to help you grow. It is my passion
I have worked as a Writing Center tutor at the University of Miami since 2021 and teach both English and English for Speakers of Other Languages at a community college in Broward, Florida. I have taught English in a number of countries including Indonesia, Singapore and Greece and enjoy working with both native and non-native speakers of English. My classes are intended to stretch and challenge you, whilst being enjoyable and achievable, and you will always find me friendly and respectful.
I started as a paraprofessional for kindergarten in St. Thomas, Virgin Islands. I did that for eight years. During that time, I received my master's degree in Elementary Education. Then, I started working as a kindergarten teacher. I taught kindergarten for 3 years. Then, I taught third grade for one year before leaving St. Thomas, VI. A few years later, I became an intervention teacher, which I really loved.
