Golf is one of the most frustrating, demoralizing and addictive things you can do. I have been playing for 28 years. I spend 85% of my time conscious practicing , playing or thinking about golf. Lanam was clear, simple, and flexible. He helped me stay focused and set the correct expectations. He did not try to stick to "his" way, he consistently adjusted to my needs. At the same time, he was also properly firm on what he believed the focus should be, in a very respectful way. His entire approach of practicality and repeatability really REALLY worked for me. Great coaches are experts who have a wide array of tools and styles and do what's right for the student to get results. A great coach does not overwhelm you and is able to back off and adjust to keep that from happening, while still pushing you forward. Lanam is a great coach. He's my guy after one lesson.
