My golf journey has spanned 35+ years. Growing up, I worked at my local course in various capacities, but nothing brought me joy like the summers spent as a junior golf instructor. I look forward to cultivating your love for this great game. Bring positivity and a smile to your lesson, and we're going to have nothing but fun.
"Patrick’s lessons are always quite helpful, and the pace is nicely easy, giving tips along the way that make it feel approachable. I still need to work on consistency, but I appreciate the steady guidance, you really get a sense of progression.

I hold the course record of 57 at my home course, Alhambra Golf Course, and have competed in multiple PGA pre-qualifying events. I'm Katy, and over the past four summer school seasons, I've taught junior golf group lessons in camp clinics, catering to ages 3-18. Beyond that, I've developed my coaching skills through 1-on-1 instruction, working with individuals ranging from 14 to 55 years old. Back in 2017, I had the privilege of volunteering as a health & wellness advisor for a D1 Women’s Golf Team for a semester. On the competitive front, I've played against some top golfers like LPGA Rookie of the Year Jillian Hollis, Jessica Porvasnik, Clare Legaspi, Cindy Oh, and more. Before diving into our first lesson, I always start with an assessment to understand each player's personality, their mental game approach, and the unique ways in which they learn. From that foundation, our inaugural lesson will focus on observation—watching how you swing or play. After which, we circle back to mastering the fundamentals, complete with personalized drills. You get to decide the lesson's focus, be it putting, chipping, short game, or even a 9-hole playing lesson, all based on your golf aspirations. I believe in nurturing from within first. The ideal player I work with understands that a positive mindset is the foundation for a successful physical game in golf.
"Gave the lesson as a gift to my by bestie. Katy was very communicative regarding the lesson and inquired about what goals we had for a lesson outcome. She arrived on time and prepared. My friend really enjoyed the lesson and constructive feedback. He said was very cool and easy to learn from. She even would crack a joke from time to time to make the lesson more stress free. A total success for a 1st lesson. I recommend her as an instructor for anyone wanting to get better at golf no matter what level you are.

"I’ve been taking lessons with Coach Chae for a few months now, and the progress I’ve made is incredible. Before working with him, my golf game felt frustrating—I struggled with consistency and often felt unsure about my swing mechanics. Coach Chae helped me break down my swing into manageable parts and focused on building solid fundamentals. What I appreciate most is his patient coaching style. He takes the time to watch my swing carefully and gives detailed feedback without rushing. His drills are practical and directly translate to better performance on the course. Since starting with Coach Chae, my ball striking has improved significantly, and I’ve lowered my scores by several strokes. My putting and short game have also seen great improvement thanks to his targeted practice routines. I now approach each round with more confidence and a clearer understanding of how to play smart golf. Coach Chae is definitely the coach you want if you’re serious about improving and enjoying the game more.
