His offenses averaged nearly 2,880 passing yards per season, including a league-best 339.2 yards per game in 2017. Over his six-year run, he developed 22 all-conference players, including 10 First Team honorees, and coached the program’s first All-American since joining BVU. Before his time at Buena Vista, Mollring served as Assistant Head Coach and Offensive Coordinator at Hastings College (Neb.) from 2013-2015, following a four-year stint as Offensive Coordinator at Doane College (Neb.). Across his seven seasons as an offensive coordinator, his units regularly averaged over 400 yards of total offense and more than 30 points per game. In 2011, he coached the GPAC Player of the Year and has mentored numerous all-conference and All-American student-athletes throughout his career. Mollring began his collegiate coaching journey as a graduate assistant at the University of Nebraska-Kearney (UNK) in 2007. He quickly moved up to a full-time assistant role, where he served as wide receivers coach and recruiting coordinator. In 2009, UNK won the RMAC Championship, finishing 11-2 and ranked No. 6 nationally.
