I’ve been in basketball since 6. Played AAU for 10 years. Won a national championship and MVP 4 years in a row. After getting injured in high school I transitioned from playing to coaching. I begun as an assistant working at the Jerry Gambles Boys & Girls Club for 2 years coaching basketball and softball. I then moved to help with my mentor coaching his son for AAU. Now I work with 6th-8th mostly 1:1 but do groups as well. I’m fun but direct. Fundamental, stamina, creativity and teamwork!

"I don’t play sports at all. Well I thought I wouldn’t until I met Coach. Lots of people think of me as the joker, the class clown and so I always lean into that. Coach seen me in class after school trying to have a shooting competition with another student. He laughed like why are you shooting like that. I told him I was playing around. He told everyone to get on the line. Asked who wanted to get better and I raised my hand. He then said it’s important to have fun but to get better and to be great you have to take it seriously. Every shot needs to be your best. Who you guard you need to stay with them at all times. It was the first time a staff seen me more than just a joker. I now can shoot a three pointer but only in my favorite spot on the court
