I learned under legendary Mercer Island coach Ed Pepple, the winningest coach in Washington State history where I was All State, MVP of the KingCo league in 1975 and first team all conference. I went on to USC where I played freshman ball then went on to a journalism career where I did the Pac 10 review for the Daily Trojan. I have been active in coaching young adults for several years
