My name is Patrick Barnum, and I just recently finished my 4 year college baseball career at Chico State. Next year, I am returning to Chico to help coach at my previous school. In my college career, I have started games at various positions, including: shortstop, third base, second base, designated hitter, starting pitcher and relief pitcher. I look forward to sharing my knowledge and spreading love for the game!

More than two decades of playing experience and a lifelong passion for baseball. Having played the game competitively for 22 years, I have developed a deep understanding of fundamentals, teamwork, and the mental side of the sport. During my career, I played four years of collegiate baseball, competing at a high level and strengthened knowledge of player development, and leadership. Selected to represent Team USA in both 2014 and 2015 winning a gold medal, an honor reserved for elite players and a testament to work ethic and skill. As a coach, my focus is on teaching strong fundamentals, situational awareness, and confidence both on and off the field. I emphasize discipline, respect for the game, and creating a positive environment where players can grow not only as athletes but also as teammates and individuals. My goal is to help every player reach their potential while building a lasting love for baseball.
