Welcome to Golf Lessons by P. Kollar, where passion meets precision in the charming city of Fountain Valley, CA. Mile Square Golf Club is my home course, where you’ll often find me working on my game. As a dedicated golf instructor, I specialize in offering a personalized coaching lesson in golf. Whether you're a beginner eager to learn the basics and fundamentals of the game or intermediate player aiming to refine your overall golfing ability, the lessons I implement are designed to enhance your overall golf game, while most importantly helping you to enjoy your time spent practicing. As a graduate of Golf Academy of America, Carlsbad, California (sadly no longer in business), I studied the psychology of golf, complex teaching and course management. I also learned how to build a set of golf clubs as well as mastering the complex rules of golf, and the overall fundamentals of how to coach and instruct students. During my 2 years at GAA, I quickly excelled, making the competitive Club Golf Team. I came to learn that there are no two identical golf swings. It is my job to assist you to find the mechanically correct way to improve your swing and develop your short game. Whenever you’re ready to lower that scorecard, I’m ready to coach you!
"That lesson sparked a fresh grip change and clear goals, plus I can feel the swing staying steadier. A few head-still, weight-shift drills will really lock it in, and I’m excited to continue.
With over 25 years of experience in the game, golf has been a lifelong passion that has taken me from junior competitions to D1 collegiate golf and beyond. I played for Oregon State University and did not miss a tournament. Additionally, I have competed at the U.S. Girls Junior Amateurs twice (‘08, ‘09) and the U.S. Women's Amateurs twice (‘12, ‘14). My PR is 64 back in high school. After college, I competed professionally on the Cactus Tour in Arizona, where I secured a tournament win at -11. While in Arizona, I also found joy in teaching, working with kids ages 6 to 12 at the TopGolf Summer Academy, helping them develop strong fundamentals and a love for the game. I also have experience going to Q-School and made it to Stage 2 my first year. Whether you're a beginner looking to build confidence and a strong foundation or an experienced player looking to lower your scores, I offer tailored lessons based on your goals. I bring not only competitive insight, but also a patient, encouraging approach to every session. Let’s take your game to the next level!
"Seshia-Lei was great! She helped me so much with ball striking & setting up the right way. Even left with drills to practice in between lessons. Was more than I could have hoped for. Can't wait for the next one!

Willing to come to you! From North San Diego to Orange County. My coaching style is rooted in patience, personalization, and progress. I believe every golfer—whether brand new or returning to the game—deserves coaching that meets them where they are.. My approach focuses on simplifying the game as much as possible so that each swing, routine, and decision becomes repeatable under real on-course conditions. Golf doesn't have to be complicated to be effective—I aim to give students tools they can rely on, even when pressure builds. I also work with kids who want to give golf a try.
