As a seasoned vocalist and concert performer, I bring 25 years of experience to my singing students. My passion is to unlock each student's unique potential. From foundational techniques to advanced artistry, I provide tailored instruction for all levels.

I am a Vocalist and Session Singer in Los Angeles. I have 20 years of experience as a touring musician (7 international, 10 regional), Session Singer (Just Dance, Disney), and instructor. My Students have gone on to get lead roles in musicals, sign with prestigious companies, and record/perform their original music. Through Vocal Coaching we will go through a goal-centered curriculum approach to find your voice and help you hone skills in you preferred genre. All Voice students also receive a produced vocal demo through coaching sessions that can be used for personal or professional advancement.

A dedicated and committed pedagogue, Dr. Frey-Monell holds degrees from Columbia University Teachers College, University of California Irvine and Westminster Choir College. Her scholarly research has centered on motivation, self-regulation, and how students learn. Two of her articles have appeared in the NATS Journal of Singing. Dr. Frey-Monell has adjudicated the regional hearings for Classical Singer Magazine's National College Competition and the Utah State Fair Vocal Competition. Locally, she has been an active adjudicator for the Long Beach Mozart Festival, Manhattan Beach School District, Music Teachers Association of California, NATS-Los Angeles Chapter, Southern California Vocal Association and Los Angeles Music Center's prestigious Spotlight Awards.
