Beginner training plan
Your first lessonThe first lesson will introduce the kids to volleyball, help them get to know their teammates, and include some basic drills, mini games, and scrimmages.
Lesson 11+The remaining lessons will give beginners the chance to grow as players, boost their confidence, have fun on the court, and experience real volleyball gameplay while learning teamwork and sportsmanship.
Lesson 4-10By the end of the 10 lessons, beginners will know more about volleyball, understand how to be prepared for practice and games, and gain basic skills through fun drills, mini games, and scrimmages.
Lesson 2-3The second lesson will focus on practicing basic volleyball skills like passing, setting, and serving, while incorporating team drills, mini games, and short scrimmages to build teamwork.
Youth players
Working with kidsWhen I work with kids, I make my lessons fun and easy to follow. I break skills into small steps, use games and drills to keep them engaged, and focus on teamwork and having fun while learning volleyball.
Working with teenagersWhen I work with teenagers, I adapt my lessons by challenging them a bit more, teaching skills in more detail, focusing on strategy and teamwork, and keeping things fun and fast-paced so they stay engaged while improving their game.
