About your volleyball coach
Hello! My name is Liosdan but I go by Lio. I am a seasoned volleyball player with 9 total years of experience under my belt, with coaching and playing at the division 1 level. I’ve coached mainly from the ages of 11-16 with great success. Many of my players hold me in high regard as a coach who has a strong sense of empathy and a great understanding of the game. I hope to help you, or your child, reach new heights as an athlete.

Juliet
Came in as a pure beginner of the game and foreign to the idea of being an athlete. She was also dealing personal obstacles but that did not stop her from attending sessions. Juliet, through her perseverance and resilience, became a much better libero, something that was her main priority in taking private lessons with me.
Beginner training plan
Your first lessonI want the beginner to tell me what their goals and ambitions with volleyball are. That’s my first lesson, to be able to express what their intentions are with playing volleyball.
Lesson 11+The beginner should expect to become an intermediate, which would set them up for their goals, whether it be to make it on their national travel team or their school’s varsity team.
Lesson 4-10The beginner can then expect specific lessons and sessions tailored towards them. This can include lessons that involve shuffling and angling on passing, power and precision in attacking, velocity and aggression on serving, and accuracy and durability in setting.
Lesson 2-3The beginner should expect some preliminary lessons, covering basics like passing, setting, hitting, and service, so that I can have a better understanding of what it is that the student needs to focus on.
